THE PROPHET'S PROFIT - GW 10

Gameweek 10 saw Man City claim victory in the Manchester Derby while Liverpool faulted yet again going 1-0 down to Newcastle. Southampton kept yet another clean sheet, and has now conceded just the 5 goals from 10 league games; which is absolutely impeccable form defensively. Some new and old faces occupy the picks of who to buy and sell this week; here are the picks of the bunch!

Marouane Fellaini

The big Belgian seems to have finally worked his way back into the starting XI for Man United and this can only bode well for his fantasy value going forward. United lack big strong bodies in central midfield, and Fellaini is exactly the type of presence needed for them as long as his form doesn’t falter like it did under previous United manager David Moyes. Fellaini has proved time and time again that he can score in a variety of ways for both Everton and national side Belgium with his feet as well as an aerial presence. His best season was in 2012/13 where he managed 11 goals and 7 assists, and if he can even get close to that type of form he will be a valuable addition to any fantasy squad.  Get him on the cheap while you still can.
Verdict: Buy Low

Enner Valencia

Valencia has made a strong start to his EPL career; none more inspiring than his display in the Hammer’s 2-2 draw away to Stoke. Valencia scored 1 and assisted the equaliser to gain a hard earned point for his side. Valencia has now scored 3 goals and assisted 3 more from 7 starts this season. Those are some decent statistics for a 2nd or 3rd striker on your fantasy squad, but with Valencia being an unknown commodity that has only played football in Ecuador and Mexico before making the switch to England; it would be a good time to sell up on him for a more reliable option going forward.
Verdict: Sell High

Theo Walcott

Finally the key speedster returned for Arsenal and it could not have come any sooner for the Gunners. Featuring in his first league game since January, Walcott came off the bench to play 11 minutes. Walcott is a player that can really take the Premier League by storm if he stays fit; he proved this in 2012/13 when he notched up 14 goals and 13 assists from 32 appearances. He will be treated with kid gloves by manager Arsene Wenger until he has proven that he is ready and able to handle the rigours of the full 90 minutes; but he is definitely worth putting in a buy low offer for as the upside is undeniable.
Verdict: Buy Low

Victor Moses

The young Nigerian has been fantastic so far on loan at Stoke City and there doesn’t seem to be any signs of him slowing down. He’s a natural talent, hence being spotted by Chelsea and currently being part of their long list of loanees having been sent out to gain regular first team football. Moses has scored once and assisted 4 more times this season, and he is constantly getting himself into dangerous areas that will likely have him producing a fair bit more before season’s end. There is also the added benefit of him being a ‘midfielder’ in RFF when he gets forward a heap and is regarded by some as a forward; similar to like a Kevin Mirallas of Everton. If you own Moses you had best hold on to him and go along for the ride.
Verdict: Keep

Nacho Monreal

Monreal has started the last 3 league games for Arsenal, having kept 2 clean sheets in that time and is beginning to look more and more comfortable as a centre half filling in for Laurent Koscielny or Per Mertesacker. Arsenal have been hit hard by injuries all over the park and Monreal has been the beneficiary of this having started in 6 league games out of 10 which is much more than he is accustomed to as a backup left back to Kieran Gibbs. He has shown some real promise and Wenger will likely be comfortable putting him in the line-up going forward; but Koscielny is a couple of weeks away and with Gibbs now back as well, Monreal is likely to find himself as a sub sooner rather than later. It is probably best to sell high on him while you still can.
Verdict: Sell High
